Visiting a church for the first time can be a daunting experience.  We want you to feel welcomed when you visit us.  Our church is filled with imperfect people who are on a journey to become more like Jesus.

What to expect when you join us for worship

When you visit our church, we want you to feel at home.  We have guest parking spaces in the front.  Worship starts at 10:30am in the Auditorium.  When you first walk in, you will be greeted and given a bulletin of our service.  In it, you'll find announcements, prayer requests, and other information.  As you walk into the sanctuary, please feel free to sit wherever you'd like- we don't have assigned seats!  If you have young children, they're welcome to stay with you during the service; we also offer a staffed nursery for young children and a quiet room for nursing mothers.

We start our service with a welcome from one of our ministers.   We ask our guests to fill out a "Connection Card" so that we can get to know you better.  You can drop this card in the offering boxes on your way out of worship, or you can give it to our Minister at the “Guest Central” desk. We’ve got a small bag of Dignity Roasters coffee for our guests!

After the welcome, we worship God with songs of praise.  You'll notice that we sing without music or a band.  We sing a cappella with just our voices.  We celebrate the Lord's Supper each week as a way to remember what Jesus did for us through His death on the cross, His burial, and His Resurrection.  We provide an opportunity to give back to God and further the Kingdom efforts here at Maricamp; as a guest, please don't feel obligated to contribute toward the offering.  If you have a prayer request, please fill out the Connection Card and drop it in the offering box on the way out- we will follow up with you.  We preach a relevant, practical message from the Bible that's aimed to help us become more like Jesus.

At the end of the message, there is a time of response; some people choose to come before the church to ask for prayers or to be baptized.  We spend time in prayer throughout the service to glorify God, lift up people in need, and ask God to guide our lives.  We hope you enjoy your experience, and we pray that you encounter God in a meaningful way.  After service is over, we hope you'll give us a chance to get to know you better.  Here are some things you should expect and not expect:

Expect to feel loved.  We strive to love God, and love others.  We pray you'll experience God's love when you visit.
Expect to feel welcome.  When you visit Maricamp Road Church of Christ, you're right where you need to be; expect a warm welcome.  We promise not to single you out or make you feel awkward in any way!
Expect to encounter God in a meaningful way.  By worshipping God through singing, a practical sermon, and meeting people who genuinely care about you and your family, we hope you'll see Jesus when you see us.
Expect an opportunity to get involved.  We invite you to jump right in and find a way to serve through our various ministries.
Expect quality programs for your children.  There are classes for all ages. Check out our "Ministries" page for more.

Don't expect to go unnoticed.  We want to get to know you.  You won't "slip through the cracks" at Maricamp.
Don't expect to feel embarrassed.  We won't ask you to stand and identify yourself as a visitor.
Don't expect "high church".  Our minister, Jeff, is very down to earth- he wants to shake your hand and meet you after service.
Don't feel like you have to dress up.  Come as you are- we don't have a dress code.  People wear everything from suits to jeans, and dresses to casual wear.
Don't expect to leave unchanged.  We are all striving to become more like Jesus, and we hope you'll join us on that journey.
